VF Marching Band Student Account Policy

Student Account Policy

I.	Marching Band student account fee shall include:
	A.	Personal items required upon joining Marching Band and retained by student including marching shoes, polo shirt, and gloves.
	B.	Uniform cleaning fees.
	C.	Annual production costs (music, props, instruments, etc.) pro-rated per student.
	D.	Applicable trip expenses including transportation, lodging, food, and recreational activities.
	E.	Miscellaneous items as determined jointly by Marching Band staff and Valley Forge Instrumental Music Boosters Executive Committee.

II.	Guard student account fee shall include:
	A.	Personal items required upon joining Marching Band program/guard and retained by student including marching shoes, polo shirt, gloves, tights, hair accessories, make-up, and miscellaneous items as determined by Director with approval from Valley Forge Instrumental Music Boosters Executive Committee.
	B.	Uniform cleaning fees.
	C.	Annual production costs (music, props, instruments, etc.) pro-rated per student.
	D.	Applicable trip expenses including transportation, lodging, food, and recreational activities.
	E.	Miscellaneous items as determined jointly by Marching Band staff and Valley Forge Instrumental Music Boosters Executive Committee.

III.	Accepted method of account payment:
	A.	Direct payment via personal check or money order.
	B.	Pro-rated portion of designated fundraising events.
	C.	Sponsorship funding.
	D.	Individual students may raise funds on behalf of another student through participation in designated fundraising events with permission from supervisor of fundraising event.

IV.	Underclass student account accrual:
	A.	Payments credited through fundraising or sponsorship funding will remain restricted for applicable student while enrolled in the Marching Band program.
	B.	Direct payments exceeding more than $10 of applicable student balance will be reimbursed to parent/guardian upon request.
	C.	Non-reimbursed direct payments will remain restricted for applicable student while enrolled in the Marching Band program.

V.	Senior/departing student account accrual:
	A.	Direct payments exceeding more than $10 of applicable student balance will be reimbursed to parent/guardian upon request.
	B.	Remaining funds credited through direct payments, fundraising, or sponsorship funding may be transferred to a sibling upon request from a parent or guardian.
	C.	Remaining funds credited through fundraising or sponsorship funding will be placed in a special restricted fund for students in need to be used confidentially at the discretion of the Marching Band staff.
