-The VF Percussion Staff is pleased to announce the 2008 Program-

"Reflections" is a show based on original music by William Talaba. The show depicts the many types of reflections that can happen within music, the mind, and the body. The show is broken down into three connected parts that showcase many types of reflections. The use of staging within the battery and movement helps to show reflections to the audience. The use of overlapping melodies unique use of the marimba with players on both sides opens up another outlet of reflective material. There are a few distinctive themes that are visited through out the performance that use an eight note pattern that is reflective within itself. Subtle textures and organic sounds help to fill in the gaps. Overall a high energy performance with a demanding visual book. This show is sure to be a crowd pleaser!!!
